During team tryouts,
expectations run high not only for the members of the
coaching staff, but also for prospective players and
families. Choosing which prospects will best fit in with the
goals and philosophies of the coaching staff is part of the
tryout process. The other part is ensuring that families
have the information they need to feel comfortable with the
decisions they will soon be making.
In addition to
on-ice evaluation, players and parents will be given an
opportunity to participate in question/answer sessions with
Energy staff. Out-of-town players will have an opportunity
to visit with host family members about the community,
schools and host family life, as well as tour home ice and
practice facilities. There are multitudes of decisions to
weight before any player or family commits to a team. The
goal of Energy hockey is to make the process as productive
as possible for everyone concerned.
Note: The Player
bio form must be completed prior to attending any
tryouts (submit player bio only once each season). Submit bio
online or by mail (the address is listed on the form).
