Motto McLean Ice Arena is an indoor multi-purpose facility
located in Hitchcock Park at 45th and P street. The arena
is opento the public and operates year round.
The Arena is proudly named after E.H. Motto McLean the founder
of youth hockey in the Omaha Area. It features a
standard 200 X 85 foot ice surface, state of the art lighting
and ceiling system. There are four spacious locker rooms
and a lobby area; a seated viewing area; a small meeting room
ideal for association meetings, private parties and classroom
instructions; weight training area; a full service concession
featuring quality food products, and bleacher seating to accommodate
over 800 people. McLean Arena is the training home
of the University of Nebraska at Omaha NCAA Division I Maverick
Hockey Team, the Omaha Energy AAA Midget Major and Minor hockey
teams, as well as the Omaha Gladiators Select Hockey Organization.
McLean Arena offers a full compliment of Public Skating sessions,
Learn to Skate programs, Youth Hockey and Figure Skating programs.
In addition, McLean Arena is the home of Omahas only Speed
Skating club and numerous adult Learn to play Hockey Leagues
both Intermediate and Advanced, and the Omaha Broomball league.
Stick and Puck and Drop-in sessions are available for hockey
players of all ages. Open freestyle sessions for figure
skaters are also available. The arena operates in season
approximately 18 hours per day 7 days per week. For more
